April 2021 Update: Rebrand Delayed!
2021 has been a hectic year so far with a couple of new team members coming on board and several new services being launched. Rather than trying to shoehorn a rebrand project into a packed schedule, we have decided to delay the project until mid-year. We are buzzing to set the new brand free but couldn’t do it justice with an early 2021 launch. Stand by…
When we originally chose to call ourselves “KnightRiley”, our logic was to choose a safe name that we could work with without too much trouble – basically a brand that would not get in our way. For those who haven’t solved the mystery, the name came from my surname (Knight) and Stephen’s surname (Riley). Why did I get to list my name first? Simple; I ordered business cards before Stephen could disagree.
The entity itself is almost seven years old and has manifested its own organic “vibe”. By “vibe”, I mean brand characteristics – personality, attitude, expectations, specialities, reputation. We have refined how we work and how we want to be received, and reached a point where we wanted anyone who works with us to be represented by a brand that spoke to purpose and energy.
This is how we landed at Vandalist.
Vandalist is about methodical, creative, and occasionally unorthodox application of skills and resources. We are well organised and crafty, but also highly resourceful and driven by quality, satisfying outcomes. We love inventing and problem solving, but we love a good strategy more. Our objective is always to get the job that needs doing, done. If we need to go off-road to get on with it, we do. Rather than wait, stall, and shift responsibilities, we move.
We are fundamentally strategic thinkers with creative approaches to most challenges. We think and deliver in a manner that is not easily replicated, and maintain the strategic purpose in the front of our minds while we create and plan. We felt that “KnightRiley” had maxed out its brand relevance and we needed a new skin. Vandalist is a brand that contributors can be proud of and that users can have faith in.
We are thrilled to be able to announce to you that we will be undergoing the shift from early 2021. We hope you like it.
